Vesta Köpek Eğitimi & Köpek Oteli

Established in 2006 in Ankara and operating in İzmir since 2010, Vesta Köpek Eğitimi & Köpek Oteli (operating under Vesta Evcil Hayvan Eğitim Bakım Sportif Faaliyetler San ve Tic LTD ŞTİ) provides balanced canine education, boutique boarding, veterinary care, and FCI-pedigreed Dobermann breeding. Guided by the motto "Not a dog farm, a family like yours," the organization was built around scientific animal behavioral methodologies. The management team comprises Veterinary Physiology Specialist (MSc) Oktay Gülsaçan, Specialist Veterinarian Nil Gülsaçan, and legal counsel and administrative director Duru İpek Özgür. The institution maintains official memberships with the Turkish Cynology Federation (KIF), the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the Ethology Institute, the Dog Trainers Association (Köpek Eğitmenleri Derneği), the Dobermann Breed Club (Dobermann Irk Derneği), and Mantrailing Turkey. Operational activity is divided between an expansive 8,300-square-meter natural facility dedicated to boarding and field training in the Kemalpaşa district and an urban administrative office and veterinary clinic in Bornova. By combining academic animal physiology with practical handling, the center prepares companion dogs for social living, trains professional handlers, and maintains low-density animal housing designed around low stress and individualized care.

What to See and Do

Visitors and pet owners engaging with Vesta encounter a structured campus designed around both active canine training and secure lodging. The countryside facility in Kemalpaşa spans an 8,300-square-meter footprint with a strict boutique cap of 20 dogs. The infrastructure includes a 200-square-meter covered training hall, an expansive 1,000-square-meter open-air training field, and a dedicated secondary outdoor play yard to permit simultaneous, uncrowded exercise sessions. For dogs staying on-site, accommodation consists of individual 8-square-meter climate-insulated suites, each opening directly into its own 15-square-meter private garden.

Canine education programs cover developmental stages from early puppyhood through advanced national competition standards:

• Puppy Training and Social Adaptation: Hands-on coaching for puppies under 6 months where owners train their dogs without physical separation, alongside Puppy Exam (YKS) preparation for dogs older than 2.5 months.
• Obedience and Social Certification: Preparation for the Social Dog Exam (SKS), Social Adaptation Exam (TYS), and Companion Dog (BH) certifications through either 45-to-60-minute one-on-one sessions or comprehensive residential month-long boarding.
• Professional Handler Certification: The 12-week Dog Trainer Course 2025, which delivers practical and theoretical instruction across multiple working disciplines led by certified field instructors.
• Pedigreed Breeding and Distance Learning: FCI-registered breeding under the "is Vesta's Progeny" kennel name supported by 16 years of breed expertise, complemented by globally accessible online theoretical training modules.

One-on-one exam preparation incorporates structured traffic and crowd exposure simulations, with upfront multi-session packages granting complimentary sessions (1 bonus class for 4 sessions, 2 for 6 sessions, and 3 for 10 sessions). Monthly boarding training packages include full boarding accommodation while meals and personal consumables remain separate.

The Visit and Who It Suits

The atmosphere across the Kemalpaşa grounds is characterized by open rural scenery, disciplined routines, and quiet open space. Rather than utilizing high-density commercial kennel layouts, the facility operates with individual garden suites and dedicated play zones to ensure animals do not experience overcrowding or unmanaged interactions. Daily medical oversight is maintained directly on site, with Specialist Veterinarian Nil Gülsaçan conducting routine health evaluations for every resident animal.

The facility is designed to serve distinct groups of pet owners and working professionals:

• Traveling Pet Guardians: Owners seeking small-scale, medically supervised boarding where dogs retain private indoor-outdoor living quarters.
• New Puppy Owners: Families seeking foundational behavioral habits through owner-participatory guidance rather than leaving young dogs in isolation.
• Urban Dog Handlers: Individuals looking to prepare their dogs for city living and formal testing through standardized SKS, TYS, or BH companion testing.
• Prospective Canine Professionals: Students aiming to build careers through the structured 12-week professional instructor curriculum.
• Breed Enthusiasts: Guardians interested in health-tested, FCI-pedigreed Dobermann lineage and breed-specific behavioral counseling.

The foundational approach focuses on owner integration, ensuring that pet parents learn physiological and behavioral handling cues alongside their dogs under the direction of qualified cynology judges.

The Mio Angle: As a Discovery Spot

For the Mio community, Vesta Köpek Eğitimi & Köpek Oteli represents a specialized discovery for pet owners who prioritize certified cynological credentials over conventional commercial kennels. The primary distinction lies in its management profile: Head Trainer Oktay Gülsaçan serves as Secretary of the Dog Training Commission for the Turkish Cynology Federation (KIF) and leads the Training Commission of the Dog Trainers Association, providing a formal regulatory framework for all instructional programs.

From a community and value perspective, the operational model offers clear transparency:

• Documented Training Progress: Residential training programs incorporate milestone tracking, concluding with formal "Hazırız biz" performance video documentation prior to certification exams.
• Subsidized Member Pricing: Registered members access automatic 10 to 15 percent price reductions on clinical veterinary treatments alongside halved transportation costs when utilizing the Bornova clinic hub.
• Transparent Package Structures: SKS prep courses feature transparent bundle additions (such as 3 bonus lessons on 10-lesson packages), while residential programs bundle full lodging without hidden boarding surcharges.
• Visual and Spatial Quality: The 8,300-square-meter natural setting, surrounded by countryside hills and fitted with dedicated obstacle setups, provides clear visual documentation opportunities for owners tracking their dogs' outdoor enrichment.

Whether recommended on Mio for short-term vacation boarding with on-site veterinary monitoring or for long-term behavioral exam preparation, the venue stands out as an established, dual-hub canine resource in the İzmir region.
